Nafs literally means soul, self or spirit. In Sufism Nafs is classified into seven different types, Which are as follows,
- 1) Nafs e Ammara
- 2) Nafs e Lawwama
- 3) Nafs e Mulhama
- 4) Nafs e Mutmainna
- 5) Nafs e Radiyah
- 6) Nafs e Mardiyya
- 7) Nafs e Kamilah
