Martin Meyer drove through Africa after graduating from high school and found his new faith in Senegal. He studied Islamic studies and got the new first name Husamuddin. Husamuddin Meyer works as a prison chaplain in the Wiesbaden JVA, where he looks after radical Islamists and Salafists, some of whom were in Syria and Iraq and who fought for IS there. As an imam, he celebrates Friday prayers with them and preaches that it is forbidden in Islam to kill innocent people.
